The Aesculap GT669 is an Econom NOVA sheep-shearing cutter head supplied with a GT598 lower comb and GT578 upper cutter. It provides the working head and blade pair for compatible Aesculap shearing equipment, including the corded Econom NOVA GT694 and cordless Econom NOVA CL GT684.

The included GT598 comb has 13 teeth and a specified 3.5 mm cutting length. It works with the four-tooth GT578 cutter. Keeping these two part numbers available makes it straightforward to identify the appropriate replacement plates when the installed blades need servicing or renewal. Aesculap's instructions also identify the GT594 lower comb as compatible with the GT669 head.

Installation, blade alignment and pressure adjustment should follow the instructions for the machine being fitted. Keep the cutting plates lubricated with GT604 oil and maintain the head's gearing with GT605 grease as directed. Clean accumulated material from the head with a brush and store the assembly clean and dry. Correct tension and regular lubrication are important parts of maintaining the cutting head through the shearing season.
