Oster Blade Wash is a cleaning and lubricating solution for clipper blades. It helps remove the cut hair that can collect between the upper cutter and lower blade, giving groomers and haircutting professionals a way to clean the working surfaces of their cutting sets. Its role is practical blade maintenance: clearing trapped material while providing lubrication for smooth blade movement.

Use Blade Wash as the first liquid in the blade-care sequence, as Oster specifies, then follow the cleaning and lubrication procedure for your clipper. The manufacturer's universal-motor manual describes wiping the outside of the blades with a clean, dry cloth after washing. It also calls for a light film of lubricating oil on the blade contact surfaces as part of routine care.

If a blade still cuts poorly after cleaning, inspect and service it according to the equipment manual. Cleaning does not address every cause of a poor cut. Store Blade Wash in a dry place at room temperature and follow the directions on the container.
