Oster Blade Lube is a lubricating oil for routine clipper and blade maintenance, supplied in a 4 oz bottle. It gives barbers, stylists, and groomers a dedicated oil to use when servicing their cutting equipment. The formula contains mineral oil and is applied to the blade surfaces that move against one another.

Regular lubrication helps limit friction and the heat generated as the cutter moves. Follow the oiling points and amount specified in your clipper instructions; different blade assemblies have different access points. Oster recommends removing excess oil with a soft, dry cloth because over-oiling can allow hair to collect between the teeth and interfere with blade movement.

Make lubrication part of your blade-cleaning routine, including re-oiling after using a blade-washing solution. Keep the bottle with your maintenance supplies so oil is available whenever the equipment requires it.
