The Premier 829004 shear head converts a compatible Premier 4000 clipping motor into a wool-and-fiber shearing setup. It is intended for flock shearing, blocking show sheep, shearing llamas and alpacas, and cattle clipping or show preparation. The head uses standard 3-inch shearing combs with four-point cutters.

Internal roller bearings support the drive mechanism, while a suspended fork system operates the cutter. Premier uses a spring-clip tensioning design and a low-profile head housing. Switching between clipping and shearing heads requires a screwdriver and two mounting screws; mounting hardware is listed separately.

Set cutter tension according to the manufacturer instructions before operation. Keep the cutting surfaces and designated head oil point lubricated throughout the session, then clean and protect the comb and cutter from moisture during storage.
