The Aesculap GT779D provides a 9 mm cutting length for grooming work that calls for retaining more coat. Built for the Favorita blade system, this 40 mm-wide head works with Favorita II, Favorita SPEED and Favorita CLi clippers. The head is manufactured in Germany and offers a defined length option for an existing Favorita grooming kit.

Its DLC coating is designed to limit friction, slow edge wear and improve resistance to corrosion. The underlying carbon-steel assembly can be maintained through professional resharpening as its cutting edge wears.

Routine care is part of using this head. Clear hair from between the teeth and clean both cutting plates with a brush or soft cloth. The Favorita CLi manual specifies light lubrication of the upper and lower plates using GT604 special oil.

Favorita also provides adjustable plate pressure through the head’s knurled screw. Aesculap recommends its Torqui precision adjusting aid to establish the basic setting. The tool works with Favorita heads equipped with the appropriate screw and is a separate accessory.
