The Aesculap GT606 is a replacement blade set for Akkurata and Vega animal clippers, giving groomers three cutting lengths in one head. It is also listed as an accessory for the Akkurata II GT407 and Vega II GT412. These compact clippers are intended for smaller areas and detail work, including the dog's neck, belly, head and face.

Adjustment is built into the blade set, with settings of 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 mm. This lets you select the required close cutting length without exchanging the entire blade. The 40 mm cutting head uses precision-ground carbon steel and is manufactured in Germany. Its tool-free folding design makes the head accessible for cleaning and straightforward to replace when necessary.

For grooming that requires more coat length, Aesculap's separately available GTA150 metal attachment comb set is designed for the GT606. The eight comb heights range from 3 to 25 mm, and the blade setting adds to the comb height. For example, Aesculap specifies a resulting 11.5 mm length when the blade is set at 1.5 mm and used with the 10 mm GTA153 comb. This adjustment range lets the same blade support both close work and longer guided clipping.
