The Andis Finishing Combo pairs a corded T-Outliner trimmer with a ProFoil lithium-ion foil shaver for the outlining and shaving stages of a haircut. The GTO trimmer establishes defined edges, while the TS-1 shaver removes remaining stubble for a close finish. Having both tool types in one kit supports the different movements needed to shape a boundary and then smooth the adjoining area.

The trimmer uses a magnetic motor rated at 7,200 strokes per minute and connects to a 120-volt, 60-hertz supply. Its corded design keeps the outlining tool available without waiting for a battery charge. The T-shaped blade is intended for detail work and clean outlines, including the edges that frame a finished style.

The separate foil shaver offers up to 80 minutes of cordless operation. Its hypoallergenic foils cover the cutters and form the shaving surface. The TS-1 manual also permits operation with its adapter attached when the battery is depleted, although it does not recharge while running. Charge the shaver for at least two hours before its first use; its charging indicator goes out when the battery is full.

Each tool needs a different care routine. Brush loose hair from the trimmer blade and apply blade oil before, during and after use, wiping away excess. For the shaver, use gentle pressure on clean, dry skin and maintain contact with both foils. Remove the foil assembly to brush accumulated hair from the cutters, and keep the shaver, cutters and foil assembly out of running water. These separate trimming and dry-shaving functions make the combo useful when a finished haircut calls for both a precise outline and a closely shaved surrounding area.
