Its two gold titanium foils provide a hypoallergenic shaving surface, while the rotary motor operates at 9,000 strokes per minute. The compact TS-2 body weighs 4.7 ounces, making it easy to reposition during detailed work around a finished haircut.

A lithium-ion battery provides up to 80 minutes of cordless operation. The included charging stand gives the shaver a designated place at the workstation, and the adapter can also connect directly to the tool. If the battery runs down during use, the TS-2 supports corded operation; it does not recharge while running with the cord attached. A red indicator changes to green when charging is complete. Before first use, Andis specifies an initial charge of at least two hours.

This is a dry-use shaver. For a close finish, work on clean, dry skin with a light touch and keep both foils in contact with the area being shaved. Pressing harder is unnecessary and can increase foil wear. The removable head provides access to the cutters for cleaning with the supplied brush; neither the shaver nor its foil assembly and cutters should be rinsed under water.

The package includes the shaver, charging stand, dual-voltage adapter, cleaning brush, protective cap and blade oil. Replace the cap for storage after cleaning. Andis recommends replacing the foil assembly and cutters together every six months for best results, making these wear parts an important consideration when maintaining the tool for regular finishing work.
