The K-9 I dog dryer is designed for home grooming and professional work where a blower must operate from a standard 15-amp outlet. The 120-volt model has a manufacturer-listed draw of 14.85 amps. It directs air through a flexible hose to help remove water and loose shedding hair during coat drying and finishing.

Two speed settings provide a choice between stronger airflow for the main drying work and a lower operating level for controlled finishing. Warmth comes from the motors during operation, rather than from a separate heating element. The design therefore combines blowing and motor-generated warm air without an additional heater to operate.

The standard kit includes a 10-foot hose, a round blower nozzle and a wide, flat blower tip. These fittings give the user two outlet shapes while the hose provides reach around the grooming area. A snap-on filter and owner's manual are also included. The dryer has a built-in 120-volt utility outlet for grooming accessories; account for the connected equipment's electrical load when planning the station.

For a permanent workspace, the K-9 I can be wall mounted with the separately available bracket. Electric Cleaner Company also offers an optional comfort sleeve, heavy-duty filter and muffler. The muffler requires the heavy-duty filter, so those accessories should be selected together when building that setup.

Routine maintenance centers on clear airflow. Keep hair and dander out of the intake, clean the filter during use as conditions require and allow a rinsed filter to dry fully before reinstalling it. Replace a filter with holes or tears. Motor brushes are service parts whose replacement timing depends on usage. Manufacturer coverage is two years against motor defects and 90 days for defects in other parts, under its warranty terms.
