The Aesculap GT504 is an 18-tooth bottom blade for the Econom clipping system, leaving a nominal 3 mm of coat. Combined with the 17-tooth GT503 upper cutter, it provides the widely spaced cutting arrangement Aesculap specifies for dirty cattle, including tail and udder work, and for fine-wool sheep.

The lower tooth count distinguishes it from the 31-tooth GT502, even though both have a 3 mm cutting height. That distinction helps owners choose a blade combination for the coat and task rather than relying on cutting length alone. The GT504 is compatible with the Aesculap GT367 head.

The Econom blade range uses carbon steel that supports repeated sharpening. Fit the plates and adjust their contact pressure as described in the machine manual. Lubrication and removal of accumulated hair remain necessary parts of blade care.
