Aesculap Econom Equipe (GT674 Clipper)
The Aesculap Econom Equipe GT674 is a corded horse clipper built around a 160-watt DC motor and a full-size cutter head. Its approximately 2,200 strokes per minute provide a steady cutting action for equine coat work, while the slim handpiece gives the operator a manageable grip when moving across the animal's body.
The supplied blade combination pairs the GT505 upper cutter with the GT502 lower plate for a nominal 3 mm clipping height. The upper cutter has 23 teeth and the lower plate has 31 teeth. This combination is identified by Aesculap for a standard horse clip, and the replaceable cutting plates allow the set to be serviced separately from the machine. A plastic carrying case and GT604 blade oil are part of the manufacturer's documented package.
Correct blade pressure and lubrication are central to getting useful service from this style of clipper. The GT367 cutter head uses an adjustable pressure mechanism; excessive pressure increases heat and wear. Follow the manufacturer instructions when setting the tension, replacing the cutting plates or removing the head. Disconnect the machine before maintenance or blade changes.
Keep the cutting surfaces lubricated with the recommended oil and remove accumulated hair from the head and filters. Clean air filters support motor cooling and must be dry before they are reinstalled. The head's gear mechanism also requires the prescribed grease at the maintenance intervals in the manual. Store the cleaned machine and oiled blades in a dry place. These practical care steps help preserve the cutting action and make the Econom Equipe a serviceable tool for a regular horse-clipping routine.
