Aesculap Favorita DLC Blade Set GT758D, 5 mm (GT758D)

The Aesculap GT758D is a 5 mm blade set for professional small-animal grooming with a Favorita-system clipper. Made in Germany, this head has a 40 mm cutting width and a nominal cutting length of 5 mm. It fits the Favorita II, Favorita SPEED and Favorita CLi systems, making it a replacement or additional length option for an existing Favorita setup.

A DLC surface treatment reduces friction and adds protection against wear and corrosion. Beneath that coating are carbon-steel cutting plates designed for repeated service and professional resharpening.

The Favorita head lets the user adjust plate pressure through a knurled screw. This setting controls contact between the cutting plates; follow the clipper manual when adjusting it. Aesculap recommends the Torqui precision adjusting aid for setting the pressure. That tool is an optional maintenance accessory.

For cleaning, remove accumulated hair with a soft brush or cloth, paying attention to the spaces between the teeth. The Favorita CLi instructions call for light application of GT604 special oil to both cutting plates. Professional sharpening is available through the manufacturer’s technical service when needed.
