The Andis Cordless Envy Li is an adjustable-blade clipper for barbers creating fades, tapers and general haircut shapes. Its slim body houses a single-speed rotary motor rated at 5,500 strokes per minute. The carbon-steel blade adjusts from size 000 to size 1, letting you change the cutting setting with the thumb lever while working through a transition.

A lithium-ion battery supplies up to two hours of cordless operation. If the battery runs down during a cut, the supplied adapter allows you to continue using the clipper with the cord connected. Charging takes place with the power switch off; the clipper does not recharge while it is running from the adapter. Andis directs an initial charge of three to five hours, followed by a minimum of 90 minutes for subsequent full charging. A green indicator illuminates while charging and goes out when the battery is full.

Eleven premium attachment combs are included, covering marked sizes from 1/16 inch through 1 inch. Together with the blade adjustment, they provide options for working across shorter transitions and longer sections of a haircut. The manual notes that hair texture, cutting direction and the angle of the blade can change the finished length, so the comb marking is a guide rather than a guarantee of an identical result on every head. The kit also includes a blade guard, blade oil and charging adapter.

The clipper measures 7 inches long and has a listed weight of 9.9 ounces. To maintain the cutting action, remove loose hair with a small brush, lubricate the blades before, during and after use, and wipe off excess oil. Monitor blade temperature during close work. Battery replacement and internal repairs should be handled through an authorized Andis service station.
