The Double K 401 belt-mount clipper system transfers power from a separate motor to the clipping handpiece through a flexible drive cable. It is designed for equine and large-animal clipping, keeping the motor outside the handpiece held against the coat.

The one-twelfth-horsepower motor has variable control from 100 to 4,500 rpm. A quick-detach connection allows the clipping handpiece to be removed from the cable and exchanged for compatible optional handpieces. The clipper handpiece uses snap-on style blades.

This belt-mount configuration supports body clipping and more controlled areas through its adjustable speed. Cable lengths and optional polishing or other handpieces vary by setup, so the supplied cable and accessories should be matched to the ordered package. The system’s separate motor and cable-driven head distinguish it from a self-contained handheld clipper.
