The Aesculap Econom NOVA GT694 is a 230 V corded shearing machine for sheep and selected cattle-shearing work. It is supplied with a four-tooth GT578 cutter and a 13-tooth GT598 comb, giving the included blade pair a specified 3.5 mm cutting length. The NOVA head is designed around this replaceable cutter-and-comb arrangement.

Its 200 W DC motor drives the blades through spur gearing at approximately 2,750 strokes per minute. The motor was developed and manufactured in Germany, while the machine's airflow design helps limit heat buildup around the handle and cutting system. A slim housing and balanced layout support handling over a shearing session. The listed product weight is 1,200 g, and the attached 5 m cable provides working reach around the shearing area.

Electronic start-up control and overload protection are built into the machine. The overload system can stop operation if the cutting head jams or blade pressure becomes excessive. Keep the blade surfaces lubricated and clean the air filters regularly so cooling airflow remains unobstructed. Disconnect the power before cleaning, changing blades or carrying out service work, and follow the supplied instructions for blade alignment, pressure and gear lubrication.
