The listed legacy configuration combines a 510A, 3-inch clipping head with an 83AU upper blade and 84AU lower blade. A 15-foot insulated cord provides reach around the work area.

Before clipping, follow the manufacturer's instructions for blade placement and tension. Oster calls for oil before use and every 10 minutes while working, applied at the specified openings and blade friction points. Keep the air filter free of hair and dirt. After the session, remove loose hair and lubricate the blades.
