Lister AC9U Sheep/Cattle Fitting Cutter, 9 Point (229-12170)

The Lister AC9U is a 9-point fitting cutter for sheep and cattle. Lister packs it as a sheep/cattle fitting cutter: its nine fine points give the smoother, more even finish needed for blocking and show fitting, where a standard 4-point shearing cutter would leave a rougher surface.

Use the AC9U with a fine fitting or clipping comb on a sheep-shearing handpiece. Lister's 23-tooth HB23 clipping comb is a common partner, and it also suits fine-tooth combs such as the Lister X-Caliber 20 (sold separately). The cutter is stamped with the Lister logo and AC9U.

Set the handpiece tension just tight enough to cut cleanly, keep the comb and cutter well oiled while you work, and change or regrind the cutter as soon as it starts to drag or leave lines. This listing is for one cutter; Lister supplies the AC9U in boxes of 10.
