The Aesculap FAV5 GT105K is a corded animal clipper for groomers who use detachable SnapOn blades. It combines the Favorita-style drive construction with a blade attachment that lets you change cutting lengths or remove the blade for cleaning. The supplied GT330 size #10 blade leaves a nominal 1.5 mm coat length.

A bearing-mounted motor drives the cutting assembly at approximately 2,300 strokes per minute. A wear-resistant metal rocker arm transfers that motion to the blade, while the ventilation system and removable air filter support extended grooming work. The slim plastic housing and front-mounted switch make it convenient to hold the clipper and control its operation with one hand as you move between areas of the coat.

The FAV5 accepts the appropriate SnapOn blade format. Select blades by their actual mounting system and cutting length when building a working collection. The fitted #10 blade provides a starting point, and other blade sizes can be selected for the particular grooming task. The documented package also includes GT604 blade oil, operating instructions and a protective plastic case for storing the machine and its accessories.

For regular care, brush hair from the blade and accessible mounting area, then apply the recommended oil to the cutting plates. Keep the ventilation path clear and clean the removable air filter weekly or sooner when it becomes dirty. If the filter is washed, reinstall it only after it is dry. Disconnect the clipper before cleaning or maintenance, and follow the FAV5 manual for blade removal and refitting. Maintaining the cutting assembly and airflow helps the machine remain ready for repeated clipping sessions.
