Aesculap SnapOn Blade Set GT357, Size 5 (6.3 mm) (GT357)

The Aesculap GT357 is a size 5 SnapOn blade set that leaves a nominal 6.3 mm of coat. It has a 40 mm cutting width and a skip-tooth layout, visible as alternating longer and shorter comb teeth. This combination identifies the size 5 cutting head for groomers using a compatible SnapOn clipper. The manufacturer’s breed guide lists GT357 for short body clipping of poodles and doodles with normal or cleaned coats.

The blade is made from carbon steel in Suhl, Germany. Aesculap uses CNC grinding and milling to form the cutting surfaces, with a surface finish designed to help movement through fur. The material and manufacturing process support edge durability and consistent cutting performance during regular professional use.

As a complete SnapOn assembly, GT357 can be changed without tools on a compatible machine. The Aesculap FAV5 manual lists this exact blade reference and its 6.3 mm cutting length. Confirm the size 5 designation when selecting a replacement, because tooth configuration is an important part of blade selection as well as the stated length.

The cutting plates can be professionally resharpened when needed. Between uses, remove accumulated hair and keep the cutting surfaces lightly lubricated according to the manufacturer's instructions. Correct seating on the clipper and routine blade care help keep this replaceable cutting head ready for the next grooming task.
