Aesculap SnapOn Blade Set GT317, Size 30 (0.5 mm) (GT317)

The Aesculap GT317 is a size 30 SnapOn blade set with a 0.5 mm cutting length and a 40 mm cutting width. It gives animal-care professionals a short-cut blade option and also serves as a verified base for Aesculap's standard stainless steel SnapOn attachment combs. That comb compatibility makes it useful when the same cutting blade will be used with different guide heights.

When fitting a compatible comb, account for both measurements: Aesculap instructs users to add the blade's cutting length to the comb height. The blade's own 0.5 mm specification therefore remains part of the combined cutting length.

Made in Germany from carbon steel, GT317 belongs to a range produced using CNC grinding and milling. The finished surface and tooth geometry help guide the coat through the cutting area for a consistent pattern. Its SnapOn mounting allows tool-free changes, and the FAV5 manual specifically lists this blade size.

Maintain the upper and lower cutting plates by removing hair with a soft cloth or brush and applying GT604 blade oil lightly as instructed. The blade is resharpenable; use a professional blade service when its cutting edges need attention.
