Aesculap SnapOn DLC Blade Set GT310D, Size 40 (0.25 mm) (GT310D)

Aesculap GT310D is a DLC-coated #40 SnapOn blade set with a 0.25 mm cutting length and a 40 mm cutting width. It suits professional users who need a close animal-hair clip and want to retain the convenience of a detachable cutting head. This is also the cutting length Aesculap specifies for the standard #40 blade supplied with its Durati VET veterinary clipper.

The GT310D combines a carbon-steel blade set with a diamond-like carbon surface treatment. The coating helps preserve the cutting edge and makes the surface less prone to collecting dirt, while providing additional resistance to corrosion. The underlying SnapOn construction uses precision-machined cutting parts made in Germany and can be professionally resharpened when service is needed.

Compatibility follows the SnapOn mounting system. It can be used with Aesculap SnapOn machines such as the FAV5 and Durati VET; check the blade system when selecting a replacement. For everyday care, brush or wipe away trapped hair, including debris between the teeth, and apply a light film of GT604 clipper oil to the cutting plates. Inspect the cutting edges during cleaning and replace or service a damaged head before further use. Regular attention to the cutting surfaces remains necessary with a coated blade.
