The detachable system accepts Andis UltraEdge, CeramicEdge, and ShowEdge blades. A size 10 blade, blade oil, and an additional blade drive are included. The release mechanism also provides access to hair that collects in the cavity beneath the cutting head.

Keep the blade maintained even though the internal motor mechanism is permanently lubricated. Andis recommends applying blade oil before, during, and after use, wiping away surplus with a soft cloth.
