The Oster A-5 Size 10 is a detachable animal clipper blade for close grooming and detailed trimming. Its nominal 1/16-inch cut is a practical option when the planned groom calls for a short finish. Oster identifies poodle face, foot and tail work among its applications.

The same blade can also be used beneath compatible Oster universal comb attachments. That gives a groomer two ways to use the size 10: directly for its short cutting length, or as the underlying cutting assembly when an attachment comb determines the finished length. Check the comb system before fitting an attachment.

Oster manufactures the blade from high-carbon steel, hardens it to RC62-66 and follows that stage with cryogenic treatment. The cutting surfaces are then sharpened and finished as part of production. Its detachable design allows the blade to be removed when changing lengths or maintaining the cutting assembly.
