The Andis UltraEdge #50SS is a detachable blade for an exceptionally close finish of approximately 0.2 mm, or 1/125 inch. It is intended for experienced users carrying out specialist grooming or veterinary preparation work.

The blade is made from carbon steel with a chrome finish to help resist corrosion. Its detachable construction allows removal for cleaning, lubrication and replacement on a compatible clipper.

Use the #50SS designation and item number 64185 when matching the cutting set to the task. The very short retained length makes correct selection and careful technique particularly important. Keep the blade clean and oiled, and check that the clipper accepts the appropriate detachable-blade fitting before installation.
